  • Step 1Gather a good collection of various naturals products. We have used fir wood as our frame as well as paper balls, lotus pods and shola atta balls. You could use these along with any other found materials such as leaves or even dried flowers.
  • Step 2Thread a sharp needle with a length of clear craft line and tie a double knot at the end. Thread various pieces of your collected naturals onto the line leaving approximately 15cm spare at the end for attaching to the frame.
  • You may need to tie knots under each newly threaded piece as you go to hold it in place.
  • Step 4Add some colour to your threaded strands by painting some of the balls with acrylic paint. We have chosen red, black and yellow however you may wish to use more colours. Allow to dry.
  • Step 5Use the extra line at the top of your threaded strands to tie onto the fir wood. Space them evenly along the fir wood and tie a double knot to secure in place.
  • Step 6Take a length of thin, natural jute twine and create a hanger by tying the ends to the fir wood frame. Your nature mobile is now ready to display!
