Don't let me fly away! Hold on tight and create your own adorable butterfly frame. Add your favourite picture and I'll look great!

  • Step 1Paint your frame white. Allow to dry. This is not essential but provides a good base for painting.
  • Step 2Paint your frame in bright colours. We painted our butterfly’s wings purple and body orange. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Decorate your frame with sequins. Attach with glue.
  • Step 4Use a marker to add detail to your frame.
  • Step 5Mould a chenille stem into antennae and attach to the back of your frame with tape.
  • Step 6Finally, choose a photo to pop into your frame. Trace around the inside edge of your frame onto your photo and use as a guide to cut out your subject. Tape your photo to the back of your frame.
  • When working with photos try photocopying your photos rather than cutting up an original!
