Step 1Sketch your design onto a piece of paper. Look to our designs for inspiration or come up with your own! Cut out your design.
Step 2Fold a piece of felt in half. Once you have a design, pin your design to the felt and use scissors to cut around it.
Step 3Add embellishments to your characters before you sew the main pieces together. You may like to add facial features, patterns or even a scarf!
Step 4Cut a long length of thread and thread your needle. Tie a knot in the end of your thread and you are ready to start sewing.
Step 5Sew a loop of ribbon to the top of your ornament so that it can be hung on your Christmas tree.
Step 6Sew the 2 pieces together by stitching around the edge. Leave a gap to stuff your ornament with wadding.
Step 7Stuff your ornament with wadding so it becomes 3D. Use scissors to poke the wadding down into the bottom of your ornament.
Step 8Finish sewing the two felt pieces together.
