Paper & Wire Flower

  • Step 1Curve the end of your armature wire into the shape of a petal and wind the end around itself to secure.
  • Step 2Using the same piece of wire, curve another petal next to your first petal. Twist to secure.
  • Step 3Continue making petals on your piece of wire until you are happy with the look of your flower.
  • We made 5 petals and then curved the flower together until we were happy with its shape.
  • Step 5Using your petals as templates, trace around each petal onto a variety of Christmas papers.
  • Step 6Cut out your petal shapes.
  • Step 7Squeeze a small amount of glue around the edge of one of your wire petals and attach its corresponding paper petal.
  • Step 8Repeat this process with your remaining petals. Allow to dry.
  • Step 9Create a wire stand by curving the remaining wire into a stalk and stand and then cut off the excess.
