Paper Bag Village

How cute are these? Imagine making a whole little village. The options are endless as you build your dream town. Why not add a supermarket? Or a fruit shop, candy store, vet clinic or shoe shop?

Search terms: house, home, town, puppets, hospital, police station, neighbours, paper craft.

  • Step 1Paint your paper bag in a bright colour. Allow to dry.
  • Step 2Scrunch up some tissue paper and put it inside the paper bag. This will help the paper bag to stand up on its own.
  • Step 3Staple the top of the bag closed.
  • Step 4Make a roof from cover paper with a fold down the centre and wavy edges.
  • Step 5Decorate the roof using a black marker. You may like to draw tiles or bricks or wooden planks!
  • Step 6Attach the roof to the top of your paper bag building with glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 7Cut out a door and a sign and attach to your paper bag building with glue. Add detail with a marker to complete your paper bag building. You might like to create a whole town of paper bags. We created a house and police station too!
