Wooden Layered Santas

Step 1Lay your pieces in the correct order and use a lead pencil to draw in Sant’s detail including his belt, beard, hat trimming and pom pom.
Step 2Paint in his belt and face using the acrylic paint. Note his nose will have to be added once the beard has been created. Allow to dry.
Step 3Use the CleverGlitz to draw in a nice big shiny buckle on his belt. Allow to dry.
Step 4Apply PVA glue evenly all over the section below santas belt then cover the glue in CleverPatch glitter. Tip off the excess and allow to dry.
For less glitter wastage, use a scrap piece of paper folded in half to catch the glitter falling off your colouring sheet while decorating. This will make it easy to tip the glitter back into the container ready to reuse!
Step 6Apply PVA glue evenly all over the section above santas belt then cover the glue in CleverPatch Square glitter. Tip off the excess and allow to dry.
To get a full coverage when using square glitter, add some fine glitter after tipping off your excess to fill in the gaps.
Step 8Apply PVA glue evenly all over the hat section then cover the glue in CleverPatch Fine glitter. Tip off the excess and allow to dry.
Step 9Apply PVA to the hat trimming, pom pom and beard then use the scrunch art technique to glue on balls of white crepe paper. Allow to dry.
Step 10Add the final touches by gluing on the wiggle eyes and dotting on the red nose. Once dry, thread onto the gold metallic braid and Santa is ready to hang on the tree!
