Aboriginal Ochre is a traditional form of paint. White ochre was traditionally easily sourced locally in most parts of Australia and therefore was available to be used by all mob within the community. Traditionally, white ochre is used on the body during ceremony, but can also be used during play and the creation of art.
Collected from creek banks and hillsides from South East Queensland. 100% natural. Ochre will be provided in its natural state, similar to the image displayed, and will need to be crushed into a fine powder prior to using. Once crushed, simply mix with water and PVA glue for a beautiful natural paint. Colour will vary. Add glue to the mix for a permanent result or spray the finished product with hair spray. Please note: due to the nature of natural products, some foreign objects may be present.
