Step 1Download and print out the templates provided. Colour them in using pencils, markers or crayons!
Step 2Cut out your templates along the solid black lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 3Mountain fold the chick template in half following the dotted line. Cut along the bold straight line across the chick’s beak as shown in the image provided. Fold the top of the beak up along the solid black line, then the bottom of the beak downwards along the solid black line. Unfold the beak, flip the template over, and fold the beak again on this side.
Step 4Unfold your template and then valley fold so the design is now on the inside. Push the beak pieces from the back as you are folding so that they fold inwards.
Step 5Fold a piece of coloured A4 cardboard in half. Glue the first egg template to the outside of the coloured card. Allow to dry. You can also tie a 65cm piece of ribbon to your card to add a bow.
Step 6Glue the chick template to the inside of the card, making sure the beak is not glued down and points inwards. Allow to dry. Write a special message in your card for someone special this Easter!
