Step 1Download and print out the templates provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper as this provides the best surface for creating your globe.
Step 2Decorate each circle and answer the questions about yourself. You may like to draw your answers or write them – it’s up to you!
Step 3Once decorated, cut out each circle along the solid black lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 4Valley fold the sides of each circle along the dotted lines, turning your circles into triangles with tabs.
Step 5Use five of your triangles to create the top of the globe. Apply glue to two tabs on each triangle, ensuring the glue is on the back (undecorated side). Press a tab from one triangle onto a tab from another, then the tab on the other side to another triangle. Repeat until the five triangles are joined together in a circle and come to a point in the centre. Allow to dry.
Step 6Repeat Step 5 with another five triangles to create the bottom of your globe.
Step 7To create the middle section, you need to glue the remaining triangles into a straight line. Alternate the direction the triangles face so that the triangles line up and make a straight edge along the top and bottom. Once the line is complete, glue the end tabs together to create a ring. Allow to dry.
Step 8Place the middle ring section on a flat surface. Apply glue to each tab on the top of the middle section. Align the top of the globe into position and press the tabs to join them together. Allow to dry.
Step 9Turn your globe over and repeat the process from step 8 to attach the bottom piece of the globe.
Step 10Your All About Me Globe is now complete! You can share it with your friends and classmates so they get to know more about you.
