Doily Sheep

This cute activity would be an excellent addition to the nursery rhyme 'Baa, Baa, Black Sheep'. Children can quite simply create an adorable sheep with doilies, paper and a few basic craft supplies.

Search terms: farm, animal, animals, lamb, fluffy, zoo, farming.

  • Step 1Glue a doily to a piece of coloured cover paper. Carefully trim around the edge to create a border around the doily. This will give your activity a bit of colour and will also provide a stable backing for the craft.
  • Step 2Carefully, pull apart and fluff out a few cotton balls. Shape these into a head shape, with ears, and attach to your doily with glue.
  • Step 3Use cover paper to create legs for your sheep. Attach to the base of the doily with glue.
  • Step 4Finally, use black paint to give your sheep a cute little face. Look to our design above for inspiration or come up with your own.
