Outdoor Play - Flying Saucer

Looking for a way to get the kids outdoors and playing these school holidays? Never fear - our Sparkly Space Ship craft is here!
  • Step 1 Use a pencil and ruler to divide the flat circle area of the plate into 8 sections.
  • Step 2 Decorate your sparkly space ship! Paint and allow to dry, then decorate by gluing on glitter and adding glitter star stickers.
  • Step 3 Carefully use the scissors to cut along the lines you drew in step one, which should still be visible through the paint (if they aren’t, simply re-draw them). We recommend adult supervision when using scissors.
  • Step 4 Carefully fold the 8 sections of the plate which you just created. Fold one up and the next down alternatively all around the plate. Your Sparkly Space Ship is now ready for flying! Each of your friends could make different coloured space ships and you could race them! Or why not start some experiments! How far can it go? What happens if you fold all the sections up or all the sections down? What if you add more stickers to make it heavier? Or less stickers to make it lighter? Record your findings!
