Paper Bracelet

A fun activity that incorporates the use of many skills! Practice your cutting, colouring and folding with our paper bracelets!
  • Step 1 Print out the template provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper as this provides a great surface for decorating. Use pencils or markers to decorate each strip before cutting out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
  • Step 2 Fold a strip in half, then open the strip and fold both ends inwards to the fold line you just made.
  • Step 3 Your strip should now be in even quarters with both sides of the paper now facing inwards as shown in the image.
  • Step 4 Repeat steps 2 & 3 for another 18 strips. Leave one strip unfolded.
  • Step 5 Take two folded strips and place one inside the other, then pull tightly. The result should be a 'V' like shape.
  • Step 6 Repeat step 5 using the image as a guide. Place the strip upwards through another strip, then another strip through the left side. Continue this pattern until you have used 19 strips.
  • Step 7 With the final strip (strip 20) fold in half, not quarters, with the decorated side facing in. Place inside the first strip (where you began) and pull tightly.
  • Step 8 Wrap your bracelet around and thread strip 20 through the last strip (strip 19). Strip 20 should have now joined the first and last strips together.
  • Step 9 Fold the ends of strip 20 in opposite directions and thread back through the first strip as shown in the image.
  • Step 10 Your paper bracelet is now ready to wear!
