  • Step 1Using a ruler and pencil. Begin dividing your handkerchief into sections. Look to our design for inspiration or create your own!
  • You may like to iron your handkerchief before you begin.
  • Step 3Begin painting your sections with fabric paint.
  • Step 4Fill in each section with paint. Allow to dry.
  • Step 5Using black paint or a black marker, trace around the edges of your painted sections.
  • Step 6Begin to attach items to each section of your mini blanket. Think of things that mean something to you. We used photos, writing, collage materials and paint. Attach with glue.
  • Step 7Once you have filled each square allow to dry.
