  • Step 1Using a pencil, lightly draw the outlines for Santa’s face and suit.
  • Step 2Paint Santa’s body red and his face a skin tone colour. Allow paint to dry completely.
  • To create a skin tone colour, mix white paint with a touch of brown.
  • Step 4Use the template to cut a beard and moustache from adhesive felt.
  • Step 5Attach to Santa’s face.
  • Step 6Cut a black belt and white trimming from adhesive felt and a yellow belt buckle from glitter adhesive foam.
  • Step 7Attach to Santa’s body.
  • Step 8Use glue dots to attach two peg segments to Santa’s sides as arms. Attach two wiggle eyes to his face.
  • Step 9Using the hat template, cut out Santa’s hat from red felt. Make the hat using fabric glue and attach a thin strip of white adhesive felt around the base edge of the hat. Attach a small white pom pom to the top of his hat. The hat is not attached to Santa.
  • Step 10Using the final template, cut out a base from white card. Fold up the tabs as demonstrated.
  • Step 11Place glue on the outside of the tabs and push up into the base of the cylinder.
  • Step 12Place the hat on top of Santa’s head but not glued. This will allow it to be used as a lid.
  • Step 13Attach a number to Santa’s hat and place sweets in the cylinder. Now you can create another twenty four characters and you have your very own advent calendar!
