Leave about 4cm at the bottom of the trunk without branches.
Step 1Cut one green chenille stem into three sections, 15cm, 9cm and 6cm. And then cut a second green chenille stem into three more sections, 12cm, 11cm and 7cm.
You can choose any beads for this activity however if they are too big, the chenille stem will not be long enough to complete the tree.
Step 2Thread both ends of the chenille stem through the bead.
Step 3Pull each end tightly around the bead so that the bead is in the centre of the chenille stem.
Step 4Using the 15cm stem as the trunk and starting with the shortest piece at the top, wrap the other five sections of chenille stem around the trunk to represent branches.
Step 5Thread two more beads onto one side of the chenille stem.
Step 6Thread the other side of the chenille stem through both bead from the other direction and then pull both sides tight.
Step 7Thread silver and gold beads onto the branches until you are happy with the decoration.
Step 8Push the base of the tree into a ball of CleverTack and then wrap the base in a small rectangle of red cover paper. This will be the pot for your tree!
Step 9Thread the next three beads onto one side of the chenille stem and repeat previous step.
Step 10Thread final four beads onto the chenille stem, threading two onto each side.
Step 11Twist the ends of the stem together to secure the beads.
Step 12Push the twisted ends into a long bead to finish your tree.
