This is standard origami size paper.
Step 1Choose two squares of patterned paper and make them into squares about 15x15cm each.
You should still be able to see some of the white paper at the top point of the fold.
Step 2Choose the paper you will use for Santaâ€™s hat and after placing it pattern size up, fold the bottom edge up about Â½ cm.
Step 3Fold the joining side over Â½ cm.
Step 4Fold up the corner where the folded sides meet about 1 Â½ cm and then fold the opposite corner over Â½ cm.
Step 5Fold the joining corner piece back down leaving 2mm folded.
Step 6Turn over your piece of paper and fold the left corner Â¾ of the way across the paper on an angle.
Step 7Fold the right side over to meet the opposite edge.
Step 8Fold down the top point on an angle so that it sits just above the folded white strip. Set this aside and place your next piece of paper pattern up in front of you.
Step 9Fold Â½ cm over along opposite sides of the square.
Step 10Fold the paper in half and then reopen it white side up.
Step 11Fold each edge into the centre fold line.
Step 12Fold the top corner out from 2/3 down the paper.
Step 13Repeat this fold with the other corner.
Step 14Make a crease across the paper about 1/3 of the way down.
Step 15Fold the top down along this crease to finish Santaâ€™s body.
Step 16Attach Santaâ€™s head to his body, add his face with a marker and your Santa is complete!
