Tis’ the season to get crafty with our Christmas craft ideas. We will get you in the Christmas spirit with hundreds of activities to choose from.

Peg Tree Ornament

O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree! These cute little Peg Tree Ornaments are perfect for trimming the tree at Christmas, or even creating a beautiful garland!
  • Step 1Cut a 15cm piece of clear elastic. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Take 2 half peg segments and use tacky glue to stick them together back to back (along the flat side) as shown, sandwiching the ends of the elastic between the peg pieces at the top to create a hanger. Allow to dry.
  • Step 2Take 2 more peg segments and glue them together back to back, then repeat with another 2 peg segments. Arrange these 2 pairs of glued pegs so they sit on either side of the piece created in step one. Glue the top third of each of the side peg pieces (but not the centre of the pieces) so they are angling outwards as shown. Allow to dry.
  • Step 3Give your peg pieces a coat of green paint and allow to dry. It’s now starting to look like a tree!
  • Step 4Decorate your Peg Tree Ornament by wrapping a tinsel chenille stem around the pegs, gluing tiny pom poms in place and adding a foam glitter star sticker at the top. Allow the tree to dry and then it is ready for hanging!
