Also remember when baking your bells, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your bells to crack. Instead, put your object in a cold oven, then turn the oven on.
Step 1Clean your bells with soapy water and dry well.
Experiment with where your top bell should hang and adjust the ribbon knot accordingly.
Step 2Think about what you would like to draw on your bell. Look to our design for inspiration or come up with your own Christmas character.
Step 3Transfer your design onto your bells. If you are making Santa, leave his beard off until after the bell has been baked.
Step 4Allow your design to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
Step 5Once dry, place your bells in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160Â°C, bake your bells for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
Step 6To make Santaâ€™s beard and hat trim, pull apart a cotton ball and attach to Santa with glue. Allow to dry.
Step 7To hang your bells together, take a piece of ribbon approximately 40cm long and fold it in half.
Step 8Secure the loose ends of the ribbon together with a double knot.
Step 9Thread the folded end of the ribbon through the hole of the base bell and pull the ribbon through until the knot is sitting securely inside the bell.
Step 10Tie another double knot in the ribbon above the first bell and thread the second bell over the top.
