Step 1Lay your bag flat on your workspace. Draw a vertical line 4cm in from the left side of the bag. Draw another vertical line 4cm in from the right side of the bag to create a 3cm wide strip down the centre.
Step 2Draw a horizontal line 5cm up from the bottom of the bag. Draw another horizontal line 1cm from the bottom of the bag. This will create a 4cm wide strip across the bag.
Step 3Draw a 5 x 7cm rectangle onto a sheet of white cardboard, with another rectangle measuring 3 x 5cm in the centre. This will be your buckle for the front of the bag. Cut out the larger rectangle. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. To cut out along the smaller centre rectangle, fold the shape in half and make a small cut along the fold. Open the fold and insert your scissors into the opening and cut around the centre shape. Paint the buckle with yellow paint and allow to dry. Apply some glue to the buckle and sprinkle gold glitter over the top. Tip the excess glitter back into the shaker tub and allow your buckle to dry.
Step 4Paint the centre vertical strip on your bag with white paint, excluding the section where the lines overlap. Allow to dry.
Step 5Paint the horizontal strip with black paint to create the belt. Allow to dry.
Step 6Paint the remaining sections on the front of the bag with red paint. Allow to dry.
Step 7Glue the buckle onto the centre of the belt. Allow to dry.
Step 8Using black paint, extend the belt shape to wrap around the bag. Paint the remaining areas with red paint. Allow to dry.
