Step 1Download and print out the templates provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper as this provides a sturdier base for folding and decorating. You may wish to use coloured cover paper or print onto white cover paper and decorate the template pieces using your favourite craft materials. Allow to dry if needed. Cut out the template pieces along the solid black outlines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Fold the smallest section of the trophy template piece over the opposite side, folding along the grey dotted line.
Step 3Using the second grey dotted line in the middle of the template as a guide, fold the page in half and glue the edge of the paper on top of the fold of Step 2. Allow to dry. Turn the paper portrait way.
Step 4Fold along the last two grey dotted lines to trifold the template piece.
Step 5With the triangle cut out sections facing up as shown, carefully cut along the lines to create your cut out sections.
Step 6Open up the paper folds and crease all the folds so they are facing inwards to create a hexagon shape.
Step 7Compress the narrow points of the cut-out shapes to create a stem.
Step 8Wrap the Band Piece around the stem and glue in place to secure the trophy stem.
Step 9Fold along the grey dotted lines on the Handle template pieces. Glue the folded parts to one of the flat edges on the trophy and repeat to attach the second handle on the opposite side.
Step 10Glue your chosen Message Plaque design to the front of the trophy or write your own with the blank plaque. Your 3D Paper Trophy is now ready to gift to someone who you think is number one!
