Step 1Download and print the template provided. We recommend printing onto cardboard as this will make a sturdy card for your magnetic clip. Decorate your chosen backing card using coloured pencils or markers.
Step 2Carefully cut around the template outline, making sure to also cut the solid horizontal line within the template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Keep the remaining part of the template with the character on it to the side for the next step.
Step 3Gently mould different colours of super light clay into your chosen character, adding in finer details once you have your main shape. Use our template as a guide for sizing and shapes. Place a clear plastic sheet (or the lid of one of the clay containers) over the character template and mould the clay on top of it to avoid it sticking to the paper. The back of your design will need to be flat so it can attach to the magnetic clip. Once complete, allow to dry.
Step 4Use tacky glue to attach the dried clay design onto the front of the magnetic clip. Allow to dry.
Step 5Add the completed magnetic clip to your decorated backing card from Step 1. Your Magnetic Clip Gift is now ready to give to someone special!
