Step 1Download and print out the template. We recommend printing onto cover paper as it will be a sturdier option! Decorate your bat with your favourite craft supplies including markers, pencils or even glitter! Allow to dry if necessary.
Step 2Cut out your template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 3Take a cardboard roll and punch 4 holes with the hole punch. – two on each end of the roll, on opposite sides.
Step 4Cut a piece of spaghetti string approximately 120cm long. Thread a bead onto one end of the string and tie a knot to secure the bead in place. Thread the other end of the string through both holes on one end of the cardboard roll, then back through the holes on the other end. Add a bead to the loose end of string and tie a knot to secure the bead in place.
Step 5Glue your bat to the front of the cardboard roll. Allow to dry.
Step 6Hang the string over a hook on the wall or a door handle. Take a bead in each hand and pull out to the sides to watch your Halloween Bat climb!
