Halloween Paper Hand Puppets

Get ready for Halloween with our FREE paper puppet activity! Put on a puppet show with your decorated Frankenstein and Dracula hand puppets!

Our BLMs can be completed in a variety of ways. Below are some hints and tips to help you get the most out of your blackline masters. These activities will equip children with important skills like colouring, cutting, gluing, folding, constructing and creative thinking.
  • Step 1Download our free Halloween Paper Hand Puppets Template and print it out on white A4 cover paper. This will provide a great surface for decorating.
  • Step 2We have chosen to use markers, but feel free to decorate your mask using pencils, crayons or paint.
  • Step 3You may like to decorate your masterpiece with glitter. We have used CleverPatch™ Glitter Glue. Allow to dry.
  • Step 4Cut out your completed design. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors
  • Step 5Fold along the dotted lines on the mouth of Frankenstein and Dracula. On the top half of the head, fold the paper strap over and use tape to attach it to the other side.
  • Step 6Cut out the other strap (above the bottom half of the mouth) and measure it around your thumb to adjust the size. Once it fits, secure together using sticky tape then tape it to the bottom of the mouth.
  • Step 7Place your hand and thumb into the loops you created & your puppets are now ready to put on a show!
