Step 1Sketch a haunted house design onto your cardboard house gift box using lead pencil.
Step 2Decorate the haunted house using coloured markers or paint. Allow to dry if needed, then assemble the haunted house using glue to secure. Allow to dry.
Step 3Decorate your wooden people. You could make them all the same characters or choose a different character for each wooden person like we have. Sketch their details using pencil first before using coloured markers or paint. Allow to dry before adding finer details using a permanent pen.
Step 4Add any additional features to your characters. We have added a felt hat for the witch and some felt wings and ears to the bat. Glue in place and allow to dry. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 5You can also use chenille stems to add details to your characters. We have used a black chenille stem to create the legs, ears and tail for our black cat. Glue in place and allow to dry.
Step 6Your Haunted House and Halloween Characters are now ready to display for the spooky season!
