Celebrate this Year’s NAIDOC Week theme “50 Years of Deadly” with an illustrated poster designed by Kerri-Ann Taggart, an Indigenous digital artist from the Wonnarua area.
NAIDOC Week is a celebration of the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by recognising their rich history and culture.
Kerri-Ann explains the inspiration for her artwork:
“These NAIDOC designs celebrate the journeys, stories, and strength of Aboriginal people (through a Wonnarua lens) from the travelling kangaroo to the soaring eagle, and the hills, rivers, and plains. These are what hold our history. Together they show how culture moves with us, how Country guides us, and how our past, present, and future stay connected. As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC, these symbols remind us that our identity is living, growing, and carried forward by everyone who stands proud in culture and community.”
