Get ready to celebrate NAIDOC Week this year with our beautiful bunting, designed by Kerri-Ann Taggart, an Indigenous digital artist from the Wonnarua area.
Kerri-Ann explains the inspiration for her artwork: “A gathering of the past, present and future Aboriginal culture beams into our community like a bright burning sun. It's light reminds us that we are what keeps the fire alive!”
NAIDOC Week is a celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Celebrated in the first week of July (Sunday to Sunday) NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
