Celebrate NAIDOC Week with these Indigenous designed wristbands by Kerri-Ann Taggart, an Aboriginal Artist from the Wonnarua area.
Kerri-Ann explains the inspiration for her artwork:
“The art featured throughout my 2025 NAIDOC collection are my representation of this year's theme: The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy. The motif of three connected concentric circles not only representing the generational stages throughout life (past, present and future generations), but the three pillars that ensure we have culture for these future generations. Strength for us to be proud of who we are, vision to have a future where our culture is strong and legacy, never forget the ones who taught us what we know now.”
NAIDOC Week is a celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Celebrated in the first week of July (Sunday to Sunday) NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
