Terracotta Pot Pals

Brighten your day with these fun Terracotta Pot Pals! Use basic collage materials to create your own character – perfect for sitting on your desk, shelf or windowsill, or gifting to a friend.
  • Step 1Think about the type of pot pal you’d like to create – what type of hair, facial features and/or decorative elements will your pot pal have? You may wish to sketch some designs on scrap paper before beginning.
  • Step 2If you are giving your pot a base colour or pattern with the Ceramic & Terracotta Markers, do this first.
  • Step 3Decide which collage materials to use for the features and begin to construct. You may need to cut out shapes from the foam sheets or prepare the chenille stems by curling them into spirals. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
  • Step 4Start to assemble the pieces in place on the pot. Once you are happy with the position, glue in place and allow to dry.
  • As you are gluing onto a curved surface, you may need to hold some materials in place for a little while to stop them sliding. It is best to lay the pot down on the desk while gluing to help alleviate this issue.
  • Step 5Add in any details with the Ceramic & Terracotta Markers to finalise your design.
  • Step 6Your Terracotta Pot Pal is now ready to display or gift to a friend!
