Step 1Download and print the templates provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper. Decorate your templates then carefully cut the pieces out along the solid black lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Take one of the template strips and use scissors to carefully fringe down one of the long edges. Keep the fringes relatively small like shown for the best effect.
Step 3Wrap the fringed strip of paper around a pencil then slide the rolled paper off the end. Pinch the non-fringed end in your fingers and use your other hand to ruffle out the fringe as shown. This is your first wattle bloom!
Step 4Use a sharp pencil to poke a hole through the paper template with the wattle branch. Position the hole close to the branch then slide your wattle bloom through the hole. Bend and tape the end of the bloom flat at the back of the template.
Step 5Repeat steps 2-4 until you have added all the wattle blooms onto the branches.
Step 6Your 3D Wattle Day Artwork is now ready to display!
