Step 1Download and print out the templates provided onto cover paper as this will provide a sturdy base for folding. Decorate using your favourite craft materials. Allow to dry if needed. Cut out the template pieces along the solid black outlines, making sure to also carefully cut out the eyes on the Outer Box template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Fold along the grey dotted lines of the Inner and Outer Box templates. Pull up the walls and glue the tabs to secure the box shapes. Allow to dry.
Step 3Place the ends of two Leg Strips together so they form a right angle, making sure the corners are aligned. Use glue to secure. Allow to dry.
Step 4Fold the bottom paper strip over the top paper strip. Continue to alternate folding each strip of paper over the centre square until you reach the end. Secure the end of the spring with glue and allow to dry.
Step 5Glue the spring to the inside of the Outer Box. Allow to dry.
Step 6Place the Outer Box on top of the Inner Box so the spring is sitting on the top.
Step 7Glue your choice of Ears and Tail to the Outer Box. Allow to dry.
Step 8Use a marker to add details to your box pet, like a face on the Outer Box and feet on the Inner Box. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 9With the cube in its upright position, draw a pair of eyes onto the Inner Box.
Step 10Push the cube down so it lines up with the bottom of the Inner Box and draw a different pair of eyes.
Step 11Your Bouncy Pet Cube is now complete, lightly press down to change its eyes! Create as many pets as you would like!
