Buzzy Bee Finger Puppet

Celebrate World Bee Day with these Buzzy Bee Finger Puppets! Use basic craft materials to create a swarm of buzzy bees – perfect for pairing with a lesson on why bees are so important.
  • Step 1Download and print out the template provided. We recommend printing onto cover paper or cardboard for sturdy construction. Decorate one set of template pieces using your favourite craft materials and allow to dry if needed. Cut the pieces out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. You may also like to decorate the back of the wings and antennae pieces, allow to dry if needed.
  • Step 2Take the striped template piece and wrap it around your finger so it is not too tight or too loose. Align the stripes then remove from your finger and use tape to hold in place. This is the bee’s body.
  • Step 3Roll the face piece into a tube shape and hold in place with tape. This is the bee’s head.
  • Step 4Place the head at one end of the body as shown and use tape underneath and on top to hold in place.
  • Step 5Valley fold the wings along the grey dotted lines. Use tape to attach in place on the back of the body. Put the body onto your finger so you can press down firmly.
  • Step 6Valley fold the antennae along the grey dotted lines. Use tape to attach in place on top of the head. Put the head onto your finger so you can press firmly down.
  • Step 7Your Buzzy Bee Finger Puppet is now complete!
