Bend, fold, colour or print - the possibilites are endless with Paper & Card!

Cardboard Bees

  • Step 1First you need to colour your bee. Trace your character shape onto yellow paper. Cut out the yellow shape and glue it to your character.
  • Step 2Glue on two wiggle eyes.
  • Step 3Cut your chenille stem to make two short antennae and curl them around your finger. Use sticky tape to attach at the top to make your bee antennae - stick on the back so you don’t see the tape!
  • Step 4Next you need to cut some strips of paper to make your bee stripes. Make them as wide as you like, we made ours approximately 1 x 9.5cm.
  • Step 5Carefully paint thin strips of glue onto your shape where you would like your bee stripes to go and place on your paper strips, letting some hang over the edge.
  • Step 6Trim around the edges to round off your stripes to your shape.
  • Step 7Next you need to make some wings - draw your wing shapes on a sheet of paper. Cut them out and attach to the back of your shape using glue or sticky tape.
