Cupid’s Arrow Valentine’s Game

Whose love will soar the highest, furthest and most accurate this Valentine’s Day? Explore the world of aerodynamics as you use a straw to launch your Cupid’s arrow into the air to try and score the highest points!
  • Step 1Print out multiples of the first page of templates so there’s enough arrows & rectangles for one of each per child. Print pages 2 & 3 once. You will only need one set of the hearts as these will sit on the floor. We recommend printing onto cover paper as this provides a great base for decorating.
  • Step 2Decorate and cut out the arrows, rectangles and hearts. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Write your name on your arrow so you know which one is yours.
  • Step 3Make sure each person has a straw. Roll the rectangle of paper loosely around the outside of the straw so that it can slide on and off. Use sticky tape to fasten it in this tube form and stick tape over one of the ends of the tube making sure it’s completely covered.
  • Step 4With your arrow face down, lay the paper tube vertically down the centre. Make sure the covered end of the tube is facing the point of the arrow. Hold in place with double sided tape.
  • Step 5Slip the arrow onto an end of the straw, ready to play the game.
  • Step 6Place the hearts on the ground ready to play. Take your straw and blow quickly into the open end to launch your arrow into the air and hopefully onto a high score - the first person with the most points wins!
