Step 1Download and print out the Footy Wobble Head template provided. We recommend printing onto white cover paper as this provides a good surface for decorating and constructing.
Step 2Decorate using your favourite craft materials. You could use coloured markers or pencils. Make sure to add your player’s name and number onto the back of their jersey. You can choose to use the hair piece provided or draw it straight onto the template.
Step 3Cut out the template pieces along the solid black outlines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 4Take the Body template piece and mountain fold along each dotted line. Apply glue or double sided tape to the tabs marked GLUE and fold to create the body, securing the tabs to the inside. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 5Mountain fold along each dotted line of the Head template piece. Apply glue or double sided tape to the tabs, fold to create a cube and press to secure the tabs to the inside. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 6If you are creating your player’s hair using the template, fold the Hair template piece in half along the dotted line, then cut along the grey lines. Be careful not to cut through the bottom edge. Glue or tape one edge to the player’s forehead and the other to the top of the cube. Press down gently to create a fringe. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 7Fold the Neck template piece to create a small spring. Fold one side of the L shape along the grey dotted line, over the top of the centre square. Repeat with the other side. Continue to fold both pieces of paper alternately over the centre square until you reach the end. Secure with tape or glue and allow to dry if needed.
Step 8Apply glue or tape to the top panel of the player’s body and the bottom panel of the player’s head. Position the folded Neck onto the Body, then place the Head on top of the Neck. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 9Apply glue or tape to the back of the Football template piece. Press into position on the front of the body, over the player’s hands. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 10Game on! Your Footy Wobble Head is now ready to display!
