Step 1We recommend printing the templates onto cover paper as this provides a sturdier base for construction. Decorate the template using coloured pencils or markers. Carefully cut along the solid black outline of each piece. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 2Fold along the grey dotted lines of the Shutter One and Shutter Two template pieces, making sure the blank side is facing up when you fold each section over.
Step 3Print out your favourite summer photo and cut it down to size using the Photo Guide template for reference. Flip the Shutter Two template over and glue the photo to the middle piece between the fold lines and allow to dry.
Step 4Rotate Shutter Two 90 degrees to the side like shown and glue the end tab onto the back of Shutter One next to the circle. Allow to dry.
Step 5Fold Shutter Two over to form a box shape and glue the other tab to Shutter One. Allow to dry.
Step 6Fold the Shutter Two sides up and glue the tabs onto Shutter One to create a box. Allow to dry.
Step 7Make sure the grey diagonal fold lines have been folded and are facing the same way. Gently twist the box down to close the ‘Shutter’.
Step 8Glue the back of the Shutter to the Camera template. Allow to dry.
Step 9Align and glue the Circle template to the front of the Shutter. Allow to dry.
Step 10Your Holiday Snaps Camera is now ready to display! Gently twist the circle to open the shutter and reveal your photo.
