My Favourite Book

Step 1Download the template provided onto cover paper or cardboard as this will create a sturdy base when decorating.
Step 2Decorate the template using coloured pencils or markers. Draw some hair however you would like on the grey line of the head, or you may wish to design and cut out some hair on a separate piece of paper and glue onto the grey line on the head. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Allow to dry if needed.
Step 3On the Book template, draw the cover of your favourite book!
Step 4Cut out the templates along the thick black outline, making sure to cut around the hair.
Step 5Fold inwards along the grey dotted lines on the arms. Fold the book piece along the grey dotted lines and glue each hand to one side of the book, making sure the cover of your book is facing towards you. Allow to dry.
Step 6Your ‘My Favourite Book’ craft is now ready to display for Book Week!
