Commemorate National Sorry Day on the 26th of May with this colouring sheet illustrated by Kerri-Ann Taggart. More commonly known by her artist name, Kez is an Indigenous Wonnarua woman from the Hunter Valley. As the eldest daughter of Uncle Warren Taggart, she has grown up surrounded by her culture. She has outlined the meaning behind her illustration;
“It does not matter where you are from, we are all connected to each other and to country in our own ways.” - Kez
National Sorry Day (May 26) is about remembering and commemorating the Stolen Generations, and recognising how this history continues to affect so many Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander families. (National Sorry Day Committee, 2013)
