Step 1Download and print out the template provided. We recommend using cover paper as it will be sturdier and easier to decorate than copy paper.
Step 2Cut out the thick black square on the second page of the template. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 3Fold the square in half on the grey diagonal. Unfold then repeat on the other grey diagonal line. Unfold back to a square.
Step 4Flip your square over so the printed lines are facing down. Fold the square in half, then unfold. Rotate the square 90 degrees then fold in half again. Do not unfold your last fold.
Step 5Hold the left side and bring across to the right which will make a smaller square. You’ll need to have the arrow shape (labelled ‘Glue onto template’) facing outwards.
Step 6With your smaller square in hand, cut along the thick, solid grey line which will leave you with an arrow shape. Glue the section labelled ‘Glue onto template’ onto the first page of the template. Allow to dry.
Step 7Open up the arrow shape to reveal a star! In each quarter of the star, draw and or write one of your New Year’s dreams and wishes!
Step 8Decorate the rest of your creation using your favourite craft supplies!
