Paper Rocket

Get ready for Space week with our FREE Paper Rocket BLM! This blackline master can be completed in a variety of ways. Below are some hints and tips to help you get the most out of your blackline master. These activities will equip children with important skills like colouring, cutting, gluing, folding, constructing and creative thinking.
  • Step 1Download the BLM and print on cover paper. Colour and decorate your template. You can use markers, crayons, pencils or even paint! Cut out each piece of the template along the solid black lines, ensuring you don't cut any dotted lines. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
  • Step 2Bend the rectangle to create a cylinder, ensuring the two tabs are at the top. Use sticky tape to secure both sides together.
  • Step 3Bend the circle to create a cone like shape and secure the sides together using sticky tape. Attach this cone to the tabs at the top of your cylinder with tape.
  • Step 4Fold the tabs backwards along the dotted lines on the triangle sides, and secure one to each side of the cylinder using sticky tape.
  • Step 5Use sticky tape to attach the flames to the inside and bottom of your rocket.
  • Step 6Your rocket is now ready to take off!
