Step 1Download and print the template provided. We recommend printing onto cardboard to ensure a sturdy surface for decorating and construction.
Step 2Decorate the bear template pieces and the small arm piece below them using coloured markers, pencils or paint. Allow to dry if needed. Carefully cut out the template pieces along the thick outer lines. Make sure you also cut out the inner window of the large rectangle piece. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 3Valley fold along the dotted line to create your folded slider card. Open back up and add glue along the grey ‘GLUE’ tabs before refolding to stick the edges together to create a rectangular ‘pocket’. Allow to dry.
Step 4Insert the long rectangular ‘PULL’ template tab piece inside the pocket, making sure the end that says ‘PULL’ is sticking out of the right-hand side.
Step 5Apply glue to the middle on the reverse side of the smaller bear and attach it to the left edge of the insert piece, making sure the head and feet stay above the pocket. Allow to dry.
Step 6Glue the larger bear to the right edge of the pocket, making sure the arm piece is stuck down. Glue the missing arm piece in place indicated by the grey ‘GLUE’ section. Be careful to only add glue to this section so the rest of the arm sticks up. Allow to dry.
Step 7Pull the ‘PULL’ tab out of the pocket so the bears meet together on the right side. Add a special message to the inner window of the large rectangle piece to the left of the bears.
Step 8Slide the insert piece back into the pocket and decorate the rest of your card.
Step 9Your Slide Reveal Card is now ready to gift to someone special!
