To get started, download the template above.
Step 1Use the template provided to cut out the shapes from black paper. Set aside.
Step 2Prepare your cellophane pieces. Cut small squares of yellow, green and blue cellophane. Set aside.
Step 3Trace the outer circle from the template onto the paper side of your book covering. Carefully cut out the circle.
Step 4Peel the paper backing from the book covering to reveal the adhesive surface.
Step 5Stick your black circle and soldier shape onto the book covering.
Step 6Decorate the surrounding adhesive area of the book covering with your cellophane pieces. Create a scene by placing the green pieces at the bottom to create grass and the blue and yellow pieces in the sky to create a sunrise/sunset.
Step 7Now that your stained glass silhouette is complete, hang it up in the window and see the beautiful image you have created shine through.
