Bright Porcelain Bowls

Step 1Clean your bowl with soapy water and dry well.
Step 2Think about what you want to draw on your bowl. If you are unsure, try drawing a design on paper first, then copy it onto your bowl with your glass and porcelain markers. Look to our designs for inspiration or come up with your own!
Step 3Allow your design to dry for a minimum of 24 hours.
Step 4Once dry, place your bowl in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your bowl for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
Remember, when baking your bowl, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your bowl to crack. Instead, put your bowl in a cold oven, then turn the oven on. Take a look at our Glass & Porcelain Marker Tips for more information.
Step 6You may like to add some collage materials to your bowl. We added a head, arms and legs to our turtle (we cut the shapes from a foam sheet) and 2 wiggle eyes.
