CleverTip: For this craft you will need 24m of white yarn, 1.7m of black yarn, 8.4m of blue yarn and 30cm of red yarn.
Step 1Place the two pieces of your cardboard pom pom maker together. Wrap 1.7m of black yarn around a small section of the pom pom maker, then wrap 3.4m of blue yarn around either side of the black section as shown. Wrap 7m of white yarn around the remaining uncovered section of your pom pom maker.
CleverTip: If you want a different eye colour, replace the blue yarn with your chosen yarn colour.
Step 2Layer another 5m of blue yarn, wrapping over the top of the previous black and blue yarn sections. Layer another 7m of white yarn, wrapping over the top of the previous white yarn section.
Step 3Wrap 10m of white yarn around your entire pom pom maker, making sure to cover the previous blue yarn section.
Step 4Cut through the yarn around the outer edge of your pom pom maker, running your scissors between the two cardboard pieces. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.
Step 5Wrap a 30cm length of red yarn three times in between your cardboard pom pom maker pieces. Tie the end in a double knot. This will hold your loose wool pieces together.
Step 6Remove the cardboard pieces and trim the yarn into a round pom pom shape. You can trim off the red yarn or use it as a creepy hanger for your eye. Your spooky Eyeball Pom Pom is now ready to display!
