Step 1Carefully cut twenty-five evenly spaced points around the paper plate.
Step 2Give the plate a coat of yellow paint. Allow to dry.
Step 3Tape the end of the yellow yarn to the back of the paper plate. Create a base for your weaving by wrapping the yarn over each diagonally opposite gap in between the points. Once every gap has been filled tape the yarn to the back of the plate. Trim any excess yarn.
Step 4Cut a piece of red yarn (1 metre). Tie one end to the centre of the yarn weaving base. Thread the other end onto a needle and begin weaving.
Step 5To weave the yarn simply thread it over and under the weaving base around the circle. Continue this process until you have used all of the red yarn.
Step 6When the piece of yarn runs out cut a new piece (you can choose to keep your colour or to start a new colour). Connect the new piece to the old piece by tying the ends together. Thread the remaining loose end onto a needle and continue the weaving process.
Step 7Once the weaving circle is full tie the remaining yarn to the weaving base. Trim any excess yarn.
