- Step 1Cut a piece of yarn (4.5 metres).
- Step 2To create a base for your weaving circle tape one end of the yarn to the back of the weaving circle. Thread the yarn through the diagonally opposite hole. Thread the yarn in the next hole to the left. Continue this process until every hole is used.
- Step 3When you have finished your weaving base tape the end of the yarn to the back of the weaving shape.
- Step 4Decorate the frame of the weaving circle with a stocking piece by threading it around the edge through the holes. Use tape to secure the stocking to the back of the circle.
- Step 5Start the weaving process by tying one end of a stocking piece to the yarn in the centre of the circle.
- Step 6To weave the stocking pieces simply thread them over and under the yarn base you have created. Continue this process until you have used all of your stocking.
- Step 7When a piece of stocking runs out grab a new piece (in a different colour) and connect it to the old piece by tying the loose ends together and continue the weaving process.
- Step 8Once the weaving circle is full, tie the remaining stocking to the yarn weaving base. Trim any excess.
