Step 1Cut out different shapes from the felt sheets to decorate your cardboard bird. Attach the felt shapes and stick to your bird using PVA glue.
Step 2Cut a semi-circle shape from adhesive glitter foam and use this to attach a few feathers to your cardboard bird to create wings.
Step 3Place a wiggle eye on your bird’s face. Attach with glue.
Step 4Punch a hole in the top of your cardboard bird.
Step 5Cut a long length of twine. Thread the twine through the hole in your bird and tie to secure. You now have a hanger for your bird.
Step 6Cut a long strip (4cm x 42cm) of cover paper.
Step 7Tape the strip of paper together to create the base for your birdcage.
Step 8Punch eight holes equally spread around the base of your birdcage.
Step 9Cut four long lengths of armature wire.
Step 10Thread and loop the ends of the armature wire through the holes in the base of your birdcage. This will complete the shape of your birdcage.
Step 11Tie the overlapping pieces of armature wire together with the length of twine at the top of your bird.
