Wooden Spoon Fish

Step 1Paint approximately 6 popsticks with magenta paint. Allow to dry.
Step 2Paint approximately 6 popsticks with orange paint. Allow to dry.
Step 3Decorate the coloured popsticks with gold glitter or glitter glue to add a touch of sparkle. Allow to dry.
Step 4Trim the popsticks to varying lengths. These will become the ribs of your fish. Look to our design above as a guide.
Step 5Place the popsticks at an angle along the handle of the wooden spoon as shown. Secure with glue.
Step 6Create a tail for your fish using cardboard. Carefully cut out the tail and paint it with magenta paint. Allow to dry.
Step 7Glue the tail to the end of the wooden spoon to complete the shape of your fish’s body.
Step 8Use a marker to add detail to your fish. We added a smile and tail detail.
Step 9Finally, use glue to secure the wiggle eye to your fish.
