Bell Instruments

Jingle, jangle, jingle – there's nothing better than a craft activity that serves a purpose after it's completed. Create your very own jingle bell instruments and then jingle along to the beat like you're playing a tambourine!

Search terms: music, musical, instruments, percussion, band, instrument.

  • Step 1Create the base for your instrument. You can join 3 popsticks together to create a triangle or use a wooden dowel if you would like your instrument to be simpler. Attach with glue.
  • Step 2Secure the bells to the base of your instrument using either ribbon or chenille stems.
  • Step 3Using either a piece of ribbon or a chenille stem, thread a bell on one end and then wrap and tie the bell in place. Continue this method until you have attached between 8 and 12 bells to your instrument.
  • Step 4Now your instrument is ready to use. Shake it freely, or tap along to the beat of some music.
