Step 1Begin by cutting out two identical cloud shapes from white felt.
Step 2Now cut out two identical circles from yellow felt to create a sun.
Step 3Pin each sun shape to its own cloud shape in the same position. Pin one to the inside of the cloud, and the other to the outside of the cloud.
Step 4Sew each sun shape to its own cloud shape using a back stitch. Remove the pins.
Step 5Cut out three sets of identical bird shapes from different colours of felt (two of each colour).
Step 6Cut a length of ribbon and pin it inside one of bird shapes. This will become a hanger.
Step 7Sew the two identical felt bird shapes together with the ribbon in the middle. Sew around the edge using a running stitch. Before you sew the whole way around the shape, fill the bird with wadding. Continue sewing around the shape and knot the thread to secure. Repeat this process with your two other sets of bird shapes.
Step 8Cut a length of ribbon to create a hanger for the whole mobile. Fold the ribbon in half and pin it to the top inside one half of the cloud and sun shape. Pin the ribbon from the top of the birds to the bottom inside of the cloud and sun shape.
Step 9Sew the two cloud and sun shapes together, with the pinned ribbons on the inside. Before you sew the whole way around the shape, fill the cloud and sun with wadding. Continue sewing around the entire shape and knot the thread to secure.
