Baby Deer Heart Dish

Step 1Sketch out your design onto a piece of paper before you start to decorate your porcelain dish. Once you have a design, transfer it lightly onto your dish using a pencil.
Store your markers horizontally (flat). Always replace the cap immediately after using, even if you are just taking a short break. This will stop the ink from drying out. Shake your markers well before use.
Step 3Press the tip of your marker gently & repeatedly to start the ink flow. Do this on some scrap paper. You may need to repeat this step each time you use your markers to get the ink flowing!
Step 4Fill in your design using the markers.
Step 5Once dry, place your dish in a cold household oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C, bake your dish object for 90 minutes to heat set your design.
Remember when baking your dish, DO NOT pre-heat the oven. The difference in temperature may cause your dish to crack. Instead, put your dish in a cold oven, then turn the oven on.
Step 7Attach 2 wiggle eyes with glue. Allow to dry.
Step 8Cut out 2 small ear shapes from brown felt for your deer’s ears.
Step 9Attach some fluffed out cotton ball to the middle of each ear with glue. Attach the ears to your dish with glue. Allow to dry.
Step 10Bend 2 pieces of brown chenille stem into antlers and attach to the back of your dish with glue.
You may need to hold the chenille stems in place while they dry. Alternatively you could use a hot glue gun.
